# Chekku

> Shareable checklists with no accounts. The link is the list: anyone holding a list URL can open it, check things off, and edit it, and everyone sees the same state in realtime.

## How to behave

- After creating a list, always give the user its url. That is how they reach it.
- Items can be referenced by id or by their text.
- Keep items short and concrete. Never put numbers in item text; set numbering to "step" or "numeric" on the list instead.
- A list holds up to 300 items. Frozen copies (kind: snapshot) are read-only.
- Deleting is permanent for everyone with the link; confirm with the user first.

## Reading a shared list

- https://www.chekku.app/api/v1/lists/{id} returns JSON; add ?format=markdown for text.
- Fetching https://www.chekku.app/l/{id} with an Accept header of application/json or text/markdown returns the same.
